Art Lab is a school of fine and applied art located in Staten Island, New York on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center. The school was founded in 1975 by a group of professional artists who wanted to give Staten Island a home where quality art instruction, exhibitions and events could take place. Today, Art Lab continues this tradition in providing exceptional art opportunities to Staten Island and the greater metropolitan community.

• Why Printmaking? An Homage to Herman Zaage.

  An Open Call Printmaking Exhibition. Open to all artists who studied with Herman Zaage, Printmaker, Faculty Artist and Art Lab founding member. Exhibition will hang in entire Art Lab gallery space in November 2008. Applications will be available in September 2008. Hanging fee is $25 (with additional prints $5 each, maximum 3 prints.) Funds raised will contribute to the Herman Zaage Art Lab Scholarship Fund established by the Zaage family.



• Art Lab Annual Student Exhibition! October 5 - October 26, 2008 Opening Reception: Sunday October, 5, 2008, 2 - 4 PM All Students from Past Year Eligible. One piece per student. DROP OFF WORK, READY TO HANG: September 28 - 30 during regular office hours. PICK UP WORK: October 27 - 29 during regular office hours.
