Art Lab is a school of fine and applied art located in Staten Island, New York on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center. The school was founded in 1975 by a group of professional artists who wanted to give Staten Island a home where quality art instruction, exhibitions and events could take place. Today, Art Lab continues this tradition in providing exceptional art opportunities to Staten Island and the greater metropolitan community.

• The Art of Wine with Deb McCole 199.2 Second session: February 26, Sun 2pm- 4pm $50 per session (price increase due to wine selection).

  Warm yourself up this winter with a special course at the Art Lab! Deb McCole, The Wine Girl will take you on a culinary trip to learn all you need to know about Wine. Each session will include something to assist you in making informed decisions about this beverage.

  February: Discovering Red Wine Styles: Learn about wine's structural elements and explore the key factors that influence red wine styles. Appreciate and describe the differences between the aromas and flavors of the spectrum of red wines you will find in shops and on wine lists...information is power!

  March: Discovering White Wine Styles: Learn about wine's structural elements and explore the key factors that influence white wine styles. Appreciate & describe the differences between the aromas and flavors of the spectrum of white wines you will find in shops and on wine lists....information is power!

  We will meet on Sunday afternoons, once a month in Art Lab's gallery. You must be 21 to attend.
